Perfect for a family with kids

The location was superb, between two metro lines, both a short distance away on foot. The staff were so professional, polite, and friendly, especially the one who explained the local market route to us.

It wasn't cheap, but still acceptable.

Great location and comfy stay

The location was spot on, just a few blocks from the Latin Quarter, which made exploring super easy. The in-room breakfast was nice, though would’ve loved a bit more variety. Only bummer was that the elevator was kinda slow at times, but the comfy bed made up for it.

Unique spiral staircase dominates the lobby, adding a touch of character to the traditional ambiance. Located just a 5-minute walk to the Gobelins Metro stop, making it a breeze to explore the local jazz bars and restaurants. Rooms feature charming decor and good long mirrors, though compact in size, typical for this area, but perfectly adequate for brief stays.

Room sizes are tight, especially for couples, making it feel cramped if you have more than just a couple of bags. Inconsistent Wi-Fi connectivity bothered several guests, and the small breakfast area often led to delays in finding a place to sit. some rooms lacked adequate storage space and air conditioning, which could be uncomfortable on warmer nights.

we really enjoyed our stay at grand hotel. the location is excellent, just a quick walk to the metro and a short taxi ride to the main train station. the breakfast was simple yet of excellent quality, and the staff were always friendly and accommodating. those wide corridors were great for my elderly parents.

I had a wonderful experience with a super comfy bed and impressive water pressure in the shower. It was nice to unwind in the cozy lounge area and enjoy a movie night with fellow guests. Just a heads up, the walls felt a bit thin at times, but it didn't ruin my stay. 😊

The Grand Hotel des Gobelins has a commendable location and easy access to transportation options like the metro and RER trains. I enjoyed the lovely view from my room on the 6th floor, where I could catch glimpses of the Pantheon and, if I looked closely, even the Eiffel Tower. The staff at reception always had helpful advice, guiding me to local attractions and the best routes to explore the city. Housekeeping kept my room spotless, and I appreciated the efficient water pressure in the shower, even if the bathroom felt a bit snug. On the downside, the walls aren’t soundproof, so I could hear conversations from the neighboring rooms at times, which might disturb very light sleepers. Breakfast could also use a bit more variety. it was quite basic with just a few options. I encountered some issues with the slow elevator, which could be an inconvenience if you're in a hurry. Still, having a bakery and grocery store nearby made grabbing a quick snack or meal very convenient.
